- A rare, early and important tall case clock by Daniel
Balch of Newbury, Massachusetts, circa 1760. In old surface and
excellent condition with a fine quality eight day time and strike
movement. This clock was made prior to 1763 when the area of
Newbury known as the "Water Side" petitioned the General
Court to be set aside as a separate township. In 1764 the court
recognized "Newbury Port".
