With a beautifully engraved brass and silvered
brass dial, this clock features an eight day time and strike
movement with an unusual calendar mechanism indicating the date
by a third hand on the dial.
The case is of butternut, a wood found locally,
which looks very much like walnut.
Aside from the finials, which we had cast to match
period finials, the clock remains in a fine original state of
preservation with a rich patina.
