A Fine Chippendale Mahogany Lolling Chair

Newburyport or Portsmouth, circa 1785

In fine condition with an old surface.  Note the detail photograph below taken from underneath showing the braces that slip into notches in the corner of the seat frame, a feature rarely found on American furniture but sometimes found in Portsmouth.

Additionally, notice the fine cabinetry in the way the arm supports are dovetailed into the seat frame.
